My Daily Bread for Mac and iPhone — Last updated: October 2026

1. The Short Version

My Daily Bread does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What you write in the app stays on your device.

2. What Stays on Your Device

Your reflections, saved passages and settings are stored only on your Mac or iPhone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. If you back up your device, for example with iCloud Backup or Time Machine, that backup is handled by Apple and may include the app's data.

3. Purchases

The free trial and the one-time unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, your Apple Account or your payment details. The app asks the App Store whether the unlock has been bought, so that it stays unlocked on your Mac and iPhone.

4. Internet Use

On iPhone, the app connects only to the App Store, for purchases.
On Mac, the app also checks once a day for an optional daily passage, published as a public file on GitHub. The request carries no information about you. As with any visit to a website, GitHub's servers see your IP address; we never do.

5. Notifications

If you turn on notifications, they are scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to us.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
